  • A Bid is your indication of an offer of a price to buy for something, especially at an auction…

    A Bid is your financial offer for a pair of shoes, watch, handbag, or gadgets item on auction2u. It’s like a digital auction paddle that you can raise from the comfort of your computer or phone. It’s your way of saying, “What’s good, internet? I am ride or die for this item and I’ll send you a specific amount of legal currency to have it in my possession.”

    If someone outbids you, no worries. If an ask matches their (now highest) bid, they’ll get the item. But your bid is still active and could be accepted if it becomes the highest bid again.

  • A Reserve Price is a hidden minimum price that the seller is willing to accept for an item and below which the seller is not obligated to accept the winning bid...

    In a Reserve Price auction, the seller is only obligated to sell the item once the bid amount meets or exceeds the Reserve Price. A seller can lower, but cannot raise, the Reserve Price.

  • Card pre-authorization is a useful practice for merchants in the travel & auction industry, as it gives them a security guarantee, ensuring that customers pay for the services they use or items they bid. It can also save money. But, how do pre-authorizations work...

    Pre-authorizing a credit card puts a temporary hold on some of a customer’s funds. The hold lasts approximately five days. The customer can’t withdraw the money from an ATM or spend the money elsewhere while the hold is in place. However, no money is actually debited when a card pre-authorization takes place. When it comes time for the customer to pay, the funds on hold can then be ‘captured’, that is, converted to a charge.

    These funds are merely placed “on hold” and no money is debited from the customer’s account until you won the auction and final payment is processed.It is important to remember that this amount has not actually been deducted from your account and will be released once a charge has been made or Your Bid is Cancelled or Outbid.

    Pre-authorization is often used in hotel & auction house scenarios. Either at the booking stage, during check-in or during auction place bid, the merchant can pre-authorize the customer’s credit card. This guarantees that there are funds available to pay for any charges incurred during the hotel stay or auction place bid, such as the cost of room service or auction bid is successful won. It ensures that the customer cannot leave without paying.

    Upon check-out/auction bid is successful won, these funds are converted to a charge. If the customer wishes to pay using another card, or a different payment method, the pre-authorization can be cancelled and the hold on funds cleared within a number of days.

    Pre-authorizations are also often used by car rental companies to ensure the car is returned in good shape and with a full tank of gas, and by tour operators and activity providers, when entrusting a customer with an expensive piece of equipment, such as a bicycle. In these cases, the pre-authorization is also sometimes referred to as a ‘security deposit’. It ensures that there are funds available to cover damage or theft.

  • Pre-authorizations can reduce fees, while also providing your customer with a good experience. Here are the main benefits of pre-authorization for both your business and your customers:

    Ensures customers pay for their services.

    • By putting a hold on customer funds, you never have to fear that a customer will leave without paying for the services they use.

    Avoid MDR fees

    • Many credit card issuers do not charge an MDR Fee (Merchant Discount Rate) unless a transaction is fully authorized.

    Avoid refund fees 

    • Many card processors charge a fee for refunds. If you haven't captured the payment yet, you can simply cancel pre-authorization and no refund is needed, so no fees are incurred.

    Improves customer satisfaction. 

    • In some situations, you may find that you have to cancel customer bookings after they have been made. If a customer has already paid for their booking, this can make them unhappy. When using pre-authorizations, there is no payment to refund. This can reduce the customer’s dissatisfaction

    Accepting pre-authorizations is easy and provides you with a host of worthwhile benefits, reducing your costs and increasing customer satisfaction too. Pre-authorizations are a simple yet valuable practice that every merchant in the travel or auction industry should take advantage of.

    There are two ways to buy all the things you love on auction2u. For those truly committed to copping, simply click “Buy Now” on the product page to purchase the item immediately at the lowest Ask. You can pay using all major credit cards, debit cards or wire transfer.

    If you’re someone packed with patience, you can go the alternate route by clicking “Place a Bid.” This allows you to fire off a digital beacon to auction2u's sellers using a price of your choosing. When your Bid meets an Ask price that matches, the transaction happens automatically. This could be a matter of minutes, hours, or days, so settle in and start sending good vibes to the auction2u spirits.

  • Cross your fingers and rub that rabbit's foot. The waiting game begins....All sales are binding. When a 'Bid' and 'Ask' match, the order is confirmed and can no longer be canceled. But you can always resell...

    On auction2u, a transaction occurs once a “Bid” and an ‘Ask” both swipe right and say “deal.”

    Until that magical moment, you have options in regards to updating your bid. As a buyer, you can select the number of bids until a bid expires. To help give you some heads up, we’ll send an email when your Bid is about to expire or outbid so you can renew it or let it go. You can also update your bid anytime after you place it. 

    Whenever you want to view the status of your bids, simply click on “My Account” and go to the “Bids/Offers” tab to see where all your live bids are at.

  • All sales are binding. When a 'Bid' and 'Ask' match, the order is confirmed and can no longer be canceled. But you can always resell....

    You can not cancel your bid after a sale has occurred because the integrity of the marketplace depends on it! We try to prevent market manipulation by ensuring bids are real, active and dependable. If you bid on something (even if it's not the highest bid), it can be accepted at any point if it becomes the highest bid. 

    If you were selling and thought you sold an item, you wouldn't want the buyer to be able to cancel, would you?

    The good news is that auction2u is a live marketplace. Once you receive the item, you can always resell on auction2u. 

  • All purchases on auction2u are final. Refunds, exchanges, and swapbacks are not allowed...

    Due to the nature of our live market, we are unable to offer refunds, exchanges or swaps of any kind - including if you ordered the wrong size.

    But good news is you can always resell if you no longer want your item. If there is a problem with an item you received, you must contact us in writing within 3 business days of receiving. 

    Should you have any issues with your order please contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to resolve the situation in a fast and fair manner. Please include a detailed description of the problem, photos of the issue and photo showing verification tag still intact. 

    Auction2u verification tags that are attached to items must not be removed, or the items will not be eligible for return or exchange under any circumstance.

  • Buyers can pay with all major credit cards, debit cards or bank transfer. All sensitive information is stored with our payment processing company.

    All sensitive information is stored with our payment processing company, MasterCard Payment Gateway and NOT with Auction2u. MasterCard Payment Gateway is owned by MasterCard. To say it another way, no one can access your credit card information by hacking Auction2u.

  • We’re working hard to continue expanding the currency options offered on our marketplace…Unfortunately not after it's been confirmed. But you can manage your delivery with Courier Centre....

    Currently, options are limited to Malaysia Ringgit (MYR). We will of course let you know when we add more currency options to our marketplace.

  • Shipping fee added to your bid/purchase price, varies by country. We ship to 200+ countries around the world. Please check duties and tax.

    Shipping cost will appear directly underneath your bid/buy now price. The cost covers shipping from our offices to your door. If the value of the package is over U$750, it will require a signature. If not, UPS will deliver the package without a signature.

    • USA: MYR100 ≈ U$25 Shipping
    • Canada: MYR100 ≈ U$25 Shipping

    Buyers are responsible for the duties and tax. Good news, we can send them as a gift or at a different value. If an international buyer refuses a package, it will be abandoned. Auction2u is not responsible for the package once the package is refused.

    We ship UPS or Fedex. Buyers are responsible for the shipping fee. If you are a UPS My Choice member, you may have select available options to you including leaving at UPS or Fedex Access Point or with a neighbour. We do not allow delivery to another address once an order has been confirmed.

    Due to the nature of our hands-on authentication process, we simply can’t change shipping labels once an order has been confirmed. We apologize if this has caused any inconvenience or issue with your auction2u experience. 

    But you can login in My Account, where you can manage all of your auction2u deliveries and get live updates on their status.

    You can always change your shipping address for future orders under the tab on My Account. Go to Edit Profile and select “Shipping Address” to update your information.

  • Shipping timeframes, business days

    Shipping times vary depending on how prompt the seller sends the item to us to be authenticated. Most auction2u orders are completed in 6-10 business days. The majority are completed in a shorter time frame.

    Sellers ship their item to the auction2u verification center. We authenticate the item and ship them to the buyer via UPS, Fedex, DHL or GDex within 1 business day. Buyers will receive an update and tracking number as soon as the items are authenticated.

  • We get it, the thirst is real. You want to rock your new new asap, seller needs to ship...!

    Don’t worry! We’re the ones who will take care of giving the seller the virtual stink eye till they pay their tab and leave the proverbial table (just go with us on this). You get to relax, sip a coffee, and know that the auction2u sharks got your back to ensure all sellers ship their product as soon as possible. 
     
    Our average delivery to you is still 6-10 business days from order date, and our goal is always to get the item to you sooner. If something happens and your item can’t be delivered within a reasonable amount of time, we will attempt to find you another one at no additional cost, or provide a full refund.
